(DailyEmailNews.com) – Signaling hе has no plans to slow down any time soon, 93-year-old media mogul Rupert Murdoch recently married retired molecular biologist Elena Zhukova.
The couplе had previously announced their engagement in March after dating for several months.
Fox News reported that the wedding took place at Murdoch’s Moraga Winery in Bel-Air, Los Angeles, with a small group of family and friends in attendance.
Photographs from the event shared by News Corp showcased the newlyweds at Murdoch’s Mediterranean-style estate.
Zhukova was elegantly dressed in a gown by London-based designer Emilia Wickstead, known for her work with Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, as the Los Angeles Times noted.
CBS News reported that Zhukova has a notable past. She was previously married to billionaire and Russian politician Alexander Zhukov, and their daughter Dasha was once married to billionaire Roman Abramovich.
As for himself, Murdoch’s marital history is extensive and includes several notable figures. Just over a year ago, he ended a brief engagement with former San Francisco police chaplain Ann Lesley Smith.
His first marriage was to flight attendant Patricia Booker in 1956, with whom he has a daughter, Prudence. This marriage ended in divorce about a decade later.
The same year he divorced Booker, Murdoch married Scottish journalist Anna Torv, with whom he has three children—Elisabeth, James and Lachlan.
They separated after nearly three decades of marriage. Murdoch’s third marriage was in 1999 to entrepreneur Wendi Deng, with whom he has two daughters, Grace and Chloe. The couple divorced in 2013.
His most recent marriage before Zhukova was to model Jerry Hall in 2016, which concluded in 2022.
Murdoch, who recently announced his retirement from active leadership roles in Fox Corp. and News Corp., confirmed that his eldest son Lachlan would succeed him as the sole chair of News Corp and continue as executive chair and CEO of Fox Corporation.
“For my entire professional life, I have been engaged daily with news and ideas, and that will not change,” Murdoch expressed in a statement.
“I am truly proud of what we have achieved collectively through the decades, and I owe much to my colleagues, whose contributions to our success have sometimes been unseen outside the company but are deeply appreciated by me,” he concluded.
