BREAKING: Famed Singer Found Dead

(DailyEmailNews.com) – In sad news for his fans across the country, famous Crazy Town lead singer Shifty Shellshock has died at the age of 49.

According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s website, Shellshock—real name Seth Binzer—recently died at his home in Los Angeles. The cause of death has not yet been determined.

Fans mourned the musician’s death in the comments of his most recent Instagram post. “I am absolutely devastated,” one fan expressed. Another shared, “Seth, man. RIP my brother.”

Others commented on his struggle with addiction, with one saying, “Rest in power, Shifty. Addiction is f***ed up. I was really hoping sobriety was going to turn things around for you,” and another hoping, “RIP. I hope you have finally found some peace.”

Crazy Town was formed in 1995 by Shellshock and Bret “Epic” Mazur and gained fame with their hit single “Butterfly,” which topped the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2000.

Despite their initial success, the band’s second album did not perform well and led to their breakup in 2003.

They reunited in 2007 and released a third album, “The Brimstone Sluggers,” in 2015. Shellshock later renamed the band Crazy Town X in 2017.

Throughout his life, Shellshock was candid about his battle with addiction. He appeared on the television shows “Celebrity Rehab” and “Sober House” to confront his issues publicly.

His legal troubles included a 2012 arrest for battery and cocaine possession and a 2022 arrest for driving under the influence in Los Angeles.

He faced similar charges in April 2023 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where he was reportedly lethargic and struggled with a field sobriety test after a confrontation with a bandmate, as reported by TMZ.

In a March 2023 appearance on “The Punk Rock MBA” podcast, Shellshock reflected on his turbulent lifestyle and its impact on his longevity in the music industry.

“I think I was too wild to stick around for a long time,” he admitted. “I managed to live through a lot of crazy s***, and got to the point where I was like, ‘I’d like to live.’”

He continued, “That’s a whole new way of life that you have to slowly teach yourself. To do it correctly, you’ve got to do more than just want it. Everyday now is just about finding inner peace and taking care of yourself.”

Shellshock is survived by his three children, Halo, Gage and Phoenix.
