Elon Musk: ‘I’m In DANGER!’

(DailyEmailNews.com) – Being a huge celebrity has its perks but also its downsides, as Tesla mogul Elon Musk revealed he is in constant danger.

At Tesla’s recent annual shareholder meeting, Musk discussed receiving death threats and compared his experience to the tragic fate of Beatles legend John Lennon.

During the Q&A session, Musk said he was concerned about his personal safety and mentioned he might even need to boost his fitness and take additional security measures to reduce potential dangers.

“I mean, it is getting a little crazy these days. The probability that a homicidal maniac will try to kill you is proportionate to how many homicidal maniacs hear your name,” Musk remarked.

He also revealed that in the past seven months alone, two “homicidal maniacs” had approached him “to aspirationally try to kill me, and a bunch of other people — so it’s not just me.” This has caused him to become wary of interacting with fans in public.

“Think of, like, John Lennon, who was, like, singing about, like, ‘Hey, can’t we all just be nice to each other?’ and then he got shot, you know, by one of his fans,” Musk explained.

He referenced how Lennon was fatally shot by Mark David Chapman in 1980 shortly after an interaction where Lennon signed an album for him.

Beyond security issues, the meeting also addressed major business topics for Tesla. Shareholders largely supported Musk’s controversial $56 billion compensation package, which has been under legal examination.

Delaware Chancery Court Judge Kathaleen McCormick previously criticized this package as an “unfathomable sum” and efforts to nullify it via a court challenge are ongoing.

However, Tesla is fighting the judge’s decision in hopes of preserving Musk’s compensation agreement.
