GOP Slams THIS Biden Order

( – After saying he could not address the border crisis without receiving more powers from Congress, Republicans are slamming Joe Biden’s recent executive order benefiting illegals already in the country.

Biden’s new move simplifies the process for illegal spouses and children of U.S. citizens to apply for permanent residency.

Republicans argue it is a tactic to gain votes for the Democratic Party in the upcoming 2024 election.

At a rally in Wisconsin, former President Donald Trump claimed Biden was “using” migrants to boost voter registration for Democrats.

“But he’s going to let everybody come in, because you know what they’re trying to do, they’re trying to sign these people up and register them,” he stated.

Biden’s executive order affects roughly 550,000 people and makes it easier for them to apply for residency without having to leave the U.S., a process that previously involved years-long delays.

Trump campaign press secretary Karoline Leavitt and Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) echoed similar sentiments and accused Biden of granting amnesty to secure votes. “That’s their game plan. Get as many registered to vote as they can,” Tuberville said.

This move has further fueled Republican skepticism regarding Biden’s stance on immigration after they rejected a compromise border policy earlier in the year.

Additionally, Biden’s recent actions aimed at tightening border controls have drawn accusations of playing politics with immigration issues.

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) criticized both of Biden’s recent actions and suggested they were politically motivated and harmful.

“The President may think our homeland security is some kind of game that he can try to use for political points, but Americans know this amnesty plan will only incentivize more illegal immigration and endanger Americans,” Johnson stated.

Johnson also anticipated that the new immigration measures would face legal challenges.

During an event marking the 12th anniversary of DACA, Biden defended his actions and stated his focus was on addressing the issues rather than political scheming.

“Folks, I’m not interested in playing politics on the border or immigration. I’m interested in fixing it. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again today, I will work with anyone to solve these problems. That’s my responsibility as president. That’s our responsibility as Americans,” he claimed.
