After wasting hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars a year without achieving any results, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem has shut down a controversial surveillance program.
Noem announced the immediate termination of the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) Quiet Skies program, citing overwhelming evidence of political abuse and financial waste.
Supposedly designed for counterterrorism, the “Quiet Skies” program was instead weaponized by the Biden administration to target political opponents while giving special treatment to allies and elites.
The program allowed federal air marshals to surveil American travelers, even those not on terrorist watch lists, based on vague criteria such as travel patterns and foreign connections.
The shocking revelation that the program failed to prevent any terrorist incidents despite its massive $200 million annual price tag has sparked outrage.
Even more disturbing were documents showing how the program targeted Trump allies while exempting Biden-connected elites from surveillance.
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard was among those targeted for political reasons. She was placed on the surveillance list after criticizing Kamala Harris.
Gabbard declared:
“I think they were trying to intimidate me, but also, they were trying to really create this chilling effect, probably knowing that I wouldn’t stay silent about it and send a message out to people that if you go and criticize then-Vice President Kamala Harris, who is now going to be the Democratic nominee for president, you too, would face the consequences.”
Meanwhile, William Shaheen, husband of Democratic Senator Jeanne Shaheen, received special treatment and exemptions from the program.
Senator Shaheen seemingly lobbied to have her husband removed from surveillance lists, though she denies these claims.
The program’s exclusion list reportedly included foreign royalty, political elites, professional athletes, and preferred journalists.
This created a two-tiered system that violated constitutional principles of equal treatment under the law.
“It is clear that the Quiet Skies program was used as a political rolodex of the Biden Administration — weaponized against its political foes and exploited to benefit their well-heeled friends,” Noem stated in the official DHS announcement.
Noem has called for a congressional investigation to expose further corruption within the program.
The Trump administration has promised to refocus the TSA on its core mission of protecting travelers while respecting constitutional rights and privacy.
“This includes restoring the integrity, the privacy and the equal application of the law for all Americans,” Noem declared.
The decisive action represents another fulfilled promise from the Trump administration to eliminate government waste and stop the weaponization of federal agencies against American citizens.
Secretary Noem assured travelers that all legitimate security functions would continue without the compromised Quiet Skies program.
