After unleashing an “unhinged” midnight rant, ABC News has suspended a veteran correspondent for attacking President Donald Trump and top aide Stephen Miller on social media.
Terry Moran’s suspension reveals the true feelings of mainstream media journalists who pretend to be objective while harboring intense hatred for the president and his administration.
Moran, who has been with ABC News since 1997, was suspended after posting on X (see below) that President Trump and Miller are “world-class haters” and claiming Miller “eats his hate.”
The veteran journalist’s remarks prompted immediate backlash from the White House and led ABC News to take swift disciplinary action against its senior national correspondent.
Vice President JD Vance strongly defended Miller, stating he knows him well and that he is “motivated by love of country.”
The vice president also said that Miller was concerned that “people like Terry Moran make rules that normal Americans have to follow, but well connected people don’t.”
Vance further blasted Moran’s post as “dripping with hatred,” and urged Americans to “remember that every time you watch ABC’s coverage of the Trump administration.”
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt publicly condemned Moran’s comments as revealing the media’s true colors.
“We have reached out to ABC to inquire about how they plan to hold Terry accountable,” Leavitt said, highlighting the administration’s determination to address the blatant bias.
“I think this speaks to the distrust that the American public have in the legacy media,” she added.
An ABC journalist @TerryMoran posted this absolutely vile smear of Stephen Miller. It’s dripping with hatred. Remember that every time you watch ABC’s coverage of the Trump administration.
As it happens, I know Stephen quite well. And he’s motivated by love of country. He’s… pic.twitter.com/hX93zKTWjy

In his now-deleted post, Moran wrote that for President Trump, hatred is “only a means to an end, and that end is his own glorification.”
He continued his attack by claiming Miller’s policy influence was driven by “bile” rather than intelligence.
ABC News quickly distanced itself from Moran’s comments in a statement:
“ABC News stands for objectivity and impartiality in its news coverage and does not condone subjective personal attacks on others. The post does not reflect the views of ABC News and violated our standards − as a result, Terry Moran has been suspended pending further evaluation.”
The incident comes after ABC News previously paid $15 million to a Trump foundation following a defamation case.
The move was part of a pattern of legal disputes between the president and major media outlets.
President Trump has also filed a $20 billion lawsuit against CBS and settled a libel case with ABC News, showing his willingness to fight back against what he views as unfair coverage.
Miller responded to Moran’s attack with a statement exposing the deeper issue at play.
“The most important fact about Terry’s full public meltdown is what it shows about the corporate press in America,” Miller expressed.
For decades, the privileged anchors and reporters narrating and gatekeeping our society have been radicals adopting a journalist’s pose. Terry pulled off his mask,” he continued.
The suspension confirms that behind their alleged objectivity, many mainstream journalists harbor deep personal animosity toward President Trump and his team.
