(DailyEmailNews.com) – Motivated by anti-Elon Musk sentiment, a Colorado woman was arrested and caught with bombs at a Tesla dealership.
40-year-old Lucy Grace Nelson faces serious charges after allegedly targeting the Loveland Tesla location with Molotov cocktails and anti-Musk graffiti.
This alarming case comes from leftist groups encouraging protests against Musk-owned businesses.
Nelson was arrested last Monday after police caught her returning to the Tesla dealership with more incendiary devices.
According to authorities, she had been vandalizing the location repeatedly since January 29, with each attack growing more dangerous.
The most disturbing incidents involved throwing Molotov cocktails at Tesla vehicles worth over $220,000 and spray-painting “Nazi cars” on the property.
Loveland Police Department began investigating after multiple incidents of vandalism targeted the dealership.
Their surveillance operation paid off when they caught Nelson in the act, preventing what could have been a more serious attack.
Investigators found spray paint, gasoline, bottles, and cloth pieces in Nelson’s car – all materials consistent with making Molotov cocktails.
The timing of these attacks raises serious questions about political motivation. The radical left-wing activist group “Indivisible” has been encouraging protests at Tesla locations, even providing a “toolkit” for demonstrations.
These protests reportedly stem from opposition to spending cuts at federal agencies directed by President Trump, in which Musk has played an advisory role.
Nelson, who reportedly also uses the alias “Justin Thomas Nelson,” faces multiple serious charges, including using explosives or incendiary devices, felony criminal mischief, and criminal attempt to commit felonies.
She was booked into Larimer County Jail with a $100,000 cash surety bond but has since posted bond and been released.
Moreover, this disturbing case highlights the growing threat of politically-motivated violence against businesses associated with conservatives.
While leftist politicians continue to demonize Elon Musk for his support of free speech and President Trump, this rhetoric appears to be inspiring dangerous actions from their followers.
Despite the arrest, authorities continue investigating whether others might be involved, as surveillance footage suggests a possible second suspect with a smaller build than Nelson.
