(DailyEmailNews.com) – What could have been a regular day at work turned into a horror movie scene as a 35-year-old shelter worker was slew in Democrat-run New York City.
The brutal attack occurred shortly after 6 p.m. at a shelter on East New York Avenue in Brownsville.
The victim, an employee at the facility, was found with stab wounds to his neck and stomach.
Despite being rushed to Brookdale Hospital, the employee succumbed to his injuries, leaving behind a community in shock and a city grappling with its failed policies.
This horrific incident is just the latest example of how Democrat-controlled cities are failing to protect their citizens.
As New York City faces an unprecedented influx of illegal aliens and a surge in violent crime, Mayor Eric Adams and his administration seem more concerned with pushing their woke agenda than addressing the root causes of these issues.
The suspect, described as a 6-foot-1, 225-pound individual wearing all black, a ski mask, and a baseball cap, remains at large.
Furthermore, the shelter where the stabbing occurred is one of many hotels converted into temporary housing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This rushed decision, made without proper consideration for long-term consequences, has turned once-safe neighborhoods into hotbeds of crime and violence.
Local residents are now living in fear, watching helplessly as their communities deteriorate.
One neighbor remarked, “They turned all the hotels around here into shelters during COVID. There are four or five more around here. A lot of stabbings. A lot of trouble.”
In addition, New York City is now buckling under the weight of a massive influx of illegal aliens.
Since April 2022, approximately 220,000 illegals have arrived in the city, with over 58,000 currently being supported by hardworking taxpayers.
Even though the Department of Homeless Services calls this incident a “horrific tragedy,” it is clear that empty words are not enough.
Plus, the Biden administration’s open border policies and the city’s lenient stance on crime have created a perfect storm of violence and chaos.
