(DailyEmailNews.com) – In a dangerous escalation that could drag America into World War III, U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer has pledged to send troops to Ukraine.
This stunning move by Britain’s leader is the complete opposite of President Trump’s efforts to negotiate peace in Eastern Europe.
Starmer’s decision marks a shocking departure from previous U.K. policy.
The prime minister announced he is “ready and willing” to deploy British soldiers to Ukraine as part of a potential peace deal with Russia.
This marks the first time the Labour Party leader has explicitly mentioned putting “boots on the ground” in the war-torn nation.
“I do not say that lightly. I feel very deeply the responsibility that comes with potentially putting British servicemen and women in harm’s way,” Starmer stated.
The timing of Starmer’s announcement is particularly troubling, coming just as President Trump has made significant progress toward ending the conflict.
President Trump recently revealed plans to speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin and kickstart a peace process, catching European leaders off guard.
“U.S. support will remain critical and a U.S. security guarantee is essential for a lasting peace, because only the U.S. can deter Putin from attacking again,” Starmer expressed.
Starmer’s push for increased military involvement comes despite the U.K.’s own military chiefs expressing serious concerns about meeting existing commitments within their current £64bn defense budget.
“Frankly, we haven’t got the numbers and we haven’t got the equipment to put a large force onto the ground for an extended period of time at the present moment,” admitted former head of the British Army Lord Dannatt.
The British army is already at its smallest size in over 200 years, yet Starmer seems determined to stretch resources even thinner.
In the meantime, the Trump administration is pursuing a deal with Ukraine for access to rare earth metals as part of peace talks.
The move prioritizes America’s strategic interests without unnecessarily endangering U.S. troops.
As President Trump works towards a diplomatic solution, Starmer’s reckless pledge threatens to undermine these efforts and potentially drag NATO into a wider conflict with Russia.
