The Republican Party is gearing up for a massive fight against far-left Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her anti-American antics.
The socialist New York Democrat renewed her extreme anti-border security stance in a fundraising email that has drawn fierce criticism from Republicans and immigration enforcement officials.
The clash stems from the radical Squad member’s active fundraising on a promise to abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) just as President Donald Trump ramps up deportations of illegal aliens.
In the controversial pitch obtained by Fox News Digital, Ocasio-Cortez declared, “I believe that ICE, an agency that was just formed in 2003 during the Patriot Act era, is a rogue agency that should not exist.”
Her brazen call to eliminate the federal agency responsible for enforcing immigration laws comes as the Trump administration intensifies efforts to remove illegal aliens from the country.
The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) immediately condemned AOC’s extreme position.
NRCC Spokesman Mike Marinella did not mince words in his response to the congresswoman’s radical agenda.
He stated:
“House Democrat Minority Leader AOC is doubling down on their party’s most extreme, unhinged agenda, while the rest of her party is bending their knee to the radical wing. At this rate, the Democrat platform in 2026 will be a fever dream of defunding the police, wide open borders, and far-left hellscapes.”
Department of Homeland Security officials blasted Ocasio-Cortez for endangering law enforcement officers with her inflammatory rhetoric.
Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin revealed that AOC’s condemnation of ICE has had real-world consequences for those protecting America’s borders.
McLaughlin expressed:
“Pathetic, yet predictable from AOC. This kind of demonization of ICE officers has led to our officers facing a 413% increase in assaults.While bottom-barrel politicians like AOC fight to protect criminal illegal aliens, our ICE officers will continue putting their lives and safety on the line to arrest murderers, kidnappers, and pedophiles that were let into our country by the Biden Administration’s open border policies.”
Ocasio-Cortez has a long history of obstructing immigration enforcement. She has instructed her constituents on how to impede ICE arrests and recently issued warnings to border czar Tom Homan following confrontations between Democrats and ICE agents in New Jersey.
Her actions have potentially warranted a Department of Justice investigation.
AOC’s fundraising email promoting the abolishment of ICE is not just an isolated incident.
The timing of Ocasio-Cortez’s anti-ICE fundraising is particularly tone-deaf as immigration remains a top concern for voters.
Polls have shown a strong majority of Americans favor President Trump’s handling of border security over Kamala Harris’ approach during her tenure as “border czar.”
White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson questioned AOC’s motives, asking why the congresswoman wants to abolish an agency that protects American citizens from criminal aliens who entered the country illegally.
Meanwhile, the Trump administration has already begun delivering on campaign promises to secure the border and deport illegal aliens.
ICE has conducted significant operations resulting in the arrest and removal of thousands of illegal aliens, with a focus on those with criminal records.
As President Trump implements the immigration policies Americans voted for, AOC and her fellow progressive Democrats appear increasingly out of touch with voters’ concerns about border security and public safety.
