Calling it a “disgusting abomination” that will saddle future generations with crushing debt, Elon Musk publicly blasted President Donald Trump’s massive spending package.
The billionaire entrepreneur’s blistering attack comes just days after leaving his advisory role in the Trump administration.

The rift also reveals growing tensions between the president and one of his most influential supporters.
Musk took to his X platform to express his mounting frustration with the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
The bill extends President Trump’s 2017 tax cuts while also increasing military and border security spending.
The Tesla and SpaceX CEO did not mince words in his assessment of the legislation.
“I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore. This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination,” Musk wrote in his scathing post.
“Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it,” he added.
His comments have ignited a firestorm among fiscal conservatives who share his concerns about government spending.
The Congressional Budget Office estimates that the bill will increase the federal debt by about $3.8 trillion over the next decade.
Musk also asserted that the legislation would increase the budget deficit to a staggering $2.5 trillion.
This would place an unsustainable debt burden on American citizens at a time when many are already struggling with economic uncertainty.

Despite Musk’s criticism, the White House is standing firmly behind the legislation.
Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt dismissed the tech mogul’s concerns, making it clear that the administration’s position remains unchanged.
“The president already knows where Elon Musk stood on this bill. It doesn’t change his opinion,” she said.
The Senate is currently negotiating the bill, with President Trump actively engaging senators to secure its passage.
Musk recently concluded his role as a special government employee with a formal send-off from President Trump in the Oval Office.
His departure and subsequent criticism raise questions about growing divisions within the president’s coalition of supporters, particularly those concerned with fiscal responsibility and government spending.
The bill has drawn support from some Republicans who appreciate its tax cuts and increased funding for military and border security.
However, fiscal hawks like Representative Thomas Massie (R-KY) have sided with Musk.
The legislation also reduces funding for Medicaid, SNAP, and other assistance programs, which has pleased conservatives looking to trim government handouts.
President Trump has defended the bill, arguing it would lead to “tremendous GROWTH” and criticizing opponents like Senator Rand Paul for their resistance to the debt ceiling increase included in the package.
Whether Musk’s criticism will sway other influential conservatives or impact the bill’s prospects in the Senate remains to be seen.
