While millions of Americans commemorated the sacrifices of the nation’s heroes, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was hard at work protecting borders this Memorial Day weekend.
Federal immigration authorities arrested multiple illegals across major U.S. cities, highlighting the ongoing struggle against illegal immigration and restoring order in communities.
ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers conducted operations in Boston, Denver, Houston, Newark, New York City, Salt Lake City, and San Francisco.
They strategically targeted locations known to have elevated illegal immigration activities. The arrests reinforce the message that law and order are finally tackling lawlessness.
Kevin Estuarde Hernandez, an 18-year-old from Guatemala, was arrested in Boston, suspected of being an 18th Street gang member involved in a gang-related shooting.
Meanwhile, officers in Denver apprehended 45-year-old Jose Antonio Deras from El Salvador. The man has multiple traffic convictions and pending felony sexual assault charges.
These targeted arrests highlight the importance of protecting American families from foreign criminals.
Houston witnessed the arrest of 35-year-old Misael Delgado-Carlos from Mexico. He had previously been deported, only to illegally return and commit aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Newark ICE officers took 32-year-old Eduardo Sanchez-Hernandez into custody for pending charges related to the sexual assault of a minor.
These individuals represent significant threats to society that ICE is determined to remove.
26-year-old Litzy Janel Saavedra from Mexico faced arrest in New York City for a 2022 third-degree felony rape conviction.
And in Salt Lake City, authorities nabbed 35-year-old Jose Barrios-Bello from Mexico, convicted for methamphetamine distribution and previously deported.
San Francisco ICE officers arrested 46-year-old Carlos Torres Valdovinos from Mexico, who has a felony conviction for oral copulation of a child.
Most of these dangerous individuals will remain in custody, awaiting removal proceedings.
Torres Valdovinos has already been removed to Mexico, demonstrating ICE’s commitment to swift action in protecting American citizens.
These targeted arrests during a weekend meant for honoring American sacrifices show ICE’s continued diligence in safeguarding communities.
In these turbulent times, it is essential to support policies that prioritize American safety.
As illegal crossings reached never-before-seen figures before President Donald Trump returned to the White House, the need for stricter border security and efficient law enforcement actions had never been as urgent.
