(DailyEmailNews.com) – After stooping so low as to smear conservatives by any means possible, CNN recently had to walk back a mistake on air by apologizing for showing “digitally altered” images of GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump and right-wing activist Laura Loomer.
Said images were shown in several segments by hosts like Anderson Cooper.
Watch the video below.
The issue came to light after Loomer posted a video on X (formerly Twitter), capturing the moment CNN retracted its statement.
In the video, a CNN host explained, “Friday evening and on Saturday, CNN aired a number of segments that briefly showed an image of former President Donald Trump and Laura Loomer taken from social media.”
“On review, this image had been digitally altered by a third party and should not have been included. We regret the error,” the host added.
Unsatisfied with the on-air apology, Loomer criticized Cooper in another post for not personally delivering the apology.
She accused him of “sending a female colleague” to make the apology on his behalf, which she found particularly insulting.
Loomer’s post expressed her frustration and threatened legal action:
“If you do not issue a retraction in writing on X for showing fake and photoshopped pics of me and President Trump in an effort to spew a sick, misogynistic, and defamatory attack against me, I will sue you, the same way I’m going to sue @billmaher.”
She continued: “How much of a coward do you have to be to use fake pics to defame me and @realDonaldTrump and then not apologize yourself? Issue a retraction in writing and on air or else you’re getting sued.”
