US Withdrawal – Trump Executive Order?!

I don't know who this is. Man sitting with folded arms.

(DailyEmailNews.com) – Striking a massive blow against global elites and their anti-American agenda, President Donald Trump is set to withdraw the U.S. from a U.N. body and cut funding to another agency.

This bold move has been said to reaffirm America’s commitment to its allies and push back against organizations that consistently show bias against U.S. interests.

As President Trump prepares to sign this game-changing executive order, supporters are eager to see how this will reshape American foreign policy and protect sovereignty.

Specifically, President Trump is expected to sign an executive order that will once again withdraw the United States from the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) and halt funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).

This decisive action echoes President Trump’s previous stance during his first term when he cut ties with the UNHRC because of its blatant bias against Israel.

The timing of this announcement is significant as it happens just as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is about to visit the White House.

This visit will be President Trump’s first meeting with a foreign leader since his recent inauguration.

The White House has been clear in its criticism of the UNHRC, stating that the body “has demonstrated consistent bias against Israel, focusing on it unfairly and disproportionately in council proceedings.”

Hard facts back this bias. As the White House pointed out, “In 2018, the year President Trump withdrew from the UNHRC in his first administration, the organization passed more resolutions condemning Israel than Syria, Iran, and North Korea combined.”

The executive order goes beyond just withdrawing from the UNHRC. It also targets UNRWA, an agency that has long been criticized for its ties to terrorist groups.

This decision doubles down on the previous administration’s pause on UNRWA funding amid the Israel-Hamas war after accusations of agency staff ties to Hamas.

Although an independent review allegedly could not find evidence of these ties, the Trump administration is taking no chances when it comes to American taxpayer dollars potentially funding anti-American sentiment.

Congress has already halted all U.S. funding to UNRWA until March 2025, and Israel recently passed a bill banning contact with the agency.

The executive order also calls for a review of international organizations that may promote “radical or anti-American sentiment,” with a specific focus on UNESCO.

This scrutiny is long overdue, as the U.S. withdrew from UNESCO in 2019 due to its anti-Israel bias.

The president’s executive order comes at a time when former Representative Elise Stefanik awaits a vote on her nomination as ambassador to the United Nations.

During her confirmation hearing, Stefanik promised to ensure that U.S. funding goes “to programs through the U.N. that work, that have a basis in the rule of law, that have a basis in transparency and accountability, and strengthen our national security and our partnerships.”

Stefanik has been critical of UNRWA for ignoring local workers’ ties to Hamas, further emphasizing the need for this executive order.

President Trump’s actions are a clear signal that the era of global organizations taking advantage of America’s generosity while undermining its interests is over.
