(DailyEmailNews.com) – As chaos engulfs the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the United States has ordered a hasty withdrawal of non-essential personnel amid rising violence in the region.

Watch the video down below.

This decision seeks to protect countless Americans who remain vulnerable as Rwandan-backed militants seize control of key areas, sparking anti-Western protests.

The State Department has advised U.S. citizens to evacuate the Democratic Republic of Congo.

This comes after violent protests targeted Western embassies, including American facilities, in the capital city of Kinshasa.

The unrest stems from anger towards foreign allies, particularly the U.S. and France, for their alleged inaction against Rwanda’s support of the M23 militia group.

Fueled by frustration and anti-Western sentiment, demonstrators unleashed their fury on multiple U.S. government buildings in Kinshasa.

They set fires and engaged in looting, creating a chaotic and dangerous environment for American citizens and personnel.

In an alarming display of violence, protesters even managed to breach a new U.S. embassy building under construction.

The U.S. Embassy in Kinshasa issued a security alert, advising citizens to “shelter-in-place and then safely depart while commercial options are available.”

The situation in eastern DRC has deteriorated quickly, with Rwanda-backed M23 fighters seizing control of most of Goma, a strategically important city.

This offensive has led to calls for urgent international intervention as half a million people have been displaced and face shortages of food, water, and medicine.

While calm has been temporarily restored in Goma, concerns remain about the living conditions of its people.

U.S. and Belgian governments have issued travel warnings, with airlines canceling flights in and out of Kinshasa.

Meanwhile, the international community’s call for Rwanda to withdraw its forces has gone unanswered as Rwanda denies military involvement.

The State Department’s decision to order the departure of non-emergency U.S. government employees and their families is a decisive action to protect American interests and citizens.
