Trump’s Big Announcement

( – Sharing his wisdom to elevate the organization to new heights, former President Donald Trump has officially backed North Carolina Republican Party Chairman Michael Whatley to succeed Ronna McDaniel as the Chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC).

The endorsement came during a conversation with Fox Business’s Maria Bartiromo following revelations that the RNC was left with an all-time low of a mere $8 million in its coffers since 2014. Additionally, Trump announced his support for daughter-in-law Lara Trump to serve as co-chair.

In his statement, Trump lauded Whatley and said, “Michael has been with me from the beginning, has done a great job in his home state of North Carolina, and is committed to election integrity, which we must have to keep fraud out of our election so it can’t be stolen.”

He also praised Lara for her communication skills and dedication to the MAGA movement, noting, “Lara is an extremely talented communicator and is dedicated to all that MAGA stands for. She has told me she wants to accept this challenge and would be GREAT!”

Reports from the New York Times suggest McDaniel informed Trump of her intention to step down after the upcoming Republican presidential primary in South Carolina on February 24. However McDaniel disputed this claim in a recently unveiled memo.

The RNC Chairwoman faced criticism after the Republican Party did not perform as expected in the 2022 midterms and experienced setbacks in the 2023 elections, including losing the Virginia General Assembly and not managing to defeat Democratic Governor Andy Beshear of Kentucky.

Despite these challenges McDaniel overcame an attempt by lawyer Harmeet Dhillon to take over her role in January 2023.

Trump’s statement also introduced Chris LaCivita as the de facto Chief Operating Officer for the Committee stating, “Chris will manage the RNC’s day-to-day operations so it will become a fighting machine for 2024 and use all the tools available to win for the American people.”

He further affirmed his full support for the trio, describing them as “highly talented, battle-tested, and smart,” and promised that every contribution would be used efficiently.
