Trump vs. Harris – It’s THIS CLOSE!?

(DailyEmailNews.com) – Signaling that the election will come down to a photo finish, recent polls reveal that Kamala Harris and GOP nominee Donald Trump are neck and neck in seven critical battleground states as the presidential race heats up.

According to a recently released survey conducted by Emerson College Polling and The Hill, Harris has a slight lead over Trump in Georgia (49% to 48%), Michigan (50% to 47%), and Nevada (49% to 48%).

On the other hand, Trump is ahead in Arizona (50% to 47%), North Carolina (49% to 48%) and Wisconsin (49% to 48%). Both candidates are tied at 48% in Pennsylvania.

Emerson College Polling executive director Spencer Kimball emphasized, “The race between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump continues to be tight, within each state’s margin of error.”

The poll shows that Harris has more support from independent voters in six of the seven states, except for Nevada where Trump leads among this group.

Trump has a slight edge with female voters in Arizona, while Harris is favored by women in the other six states and also leads among voters under 30 in all the contested states.

The shift in Democrat prospects is evident more than a month after Joe Biden decided not to seek re-election.

Concerns about Democrats’ performance, particularly in states like Michigan, have lessened now that Harris is leading the ticket.

Following last week’s Democrat National Convention in Chicago, Harris has experienced a surge of momentum.

Observers are keen to see if this boost will reflect in improved poll standings, but the current data from Emerson College Polling/The Hill indicates the presidential race remains extremely close.

The poll also suggests strong performances by Democrats in other key races.

In Senate contests across Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, Democrat candidates are ahead.

For instance, Rep. Ruben Gallego leads Republican Kari Lake by 49% to 42% in Arizona.

Similar leads are seen in other states where Democrat incumbents and challengers hold narrow to comfortable leads over their Republican opponents.

In North Carolina’s gubernatorial race, Democrat Josh Stein is ahead of GOP Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson by 47% to 41%.

Emerson College Polling and The Hill conducted the polling between in late August, with margins of error ranging from 2.8% to 3.6% across the various states.
