(DailyEmailNews.com) – After exposing The New York Times’ biased coverage and refusal to acknowledge his historic election victory, President-elect Donald Trump has demanded an apology from the outlet.
In a harsh criticism posted on Truth Social, Trump slammed The New York Times for their years of unfair and unreliable reporting.
He specifically called out senior political correspondent Maggie Haberman, accusing her of writing “phony ‘junk'” without proper fact-checking.
“Will the failing New York Times apologize to its readers for getting years of ‘Trump’ coverage so wrong. They write such phony ‘junk,’ knowing full well how incorrect it is, only meaning to demean,” Trump declared.
The President-elect also pointed out that despite scoring a massive presidential election win, he has not received a single positive story from the Times in years.
Trump’s demand for an apology is not new. He has repeatedly called out The New York Times for their biased coverage.
“The New York Times is totally, in my opinion, corrupt,” Trump stated in an interview with Fox News’ Howard Kurtz.
The outlet’s response to Trump’s demand for an apology has been one of arrogance and refusal to acknowledge its biased reporting.
One of the outlet’s spokespersons claimed, “As an independent news organization, The New York Times doesn’t produce stories that are ‘good’ or ‘bad,’ only reporting that is true.”
The ongoing feud between Trump and The New York Times recently reached new heights.
The president-elect’s attorneys sought $10 billion in damages from the outlet and Penguin Random House for allegedly publishing false and defamatory statements.
