Patriots across the nation are applauding President Donald Trump’s latest efforts to restore America to greatness.
Specifically, the president will secure the nation’s borders by ordering 20,000 additional Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officers to enhance deportation operations.
This massive increase in enforcement personnel will more than triple the current deportation force and enable the “largest deportation in American history.”
President Trump directed the DHS to quickly expand its workforce through “deputizing and contracting with state and local law enforcement officers, former federal officers, officers and personnel within other federal agencies, and other individuals.”
The directive gives DHS officials just 60 days to implement this plan, showing the administration’s urgency in addressing the illegal immigration crisis.
The expansion represents a significant boost to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), which currently employs only about 6,000 officers focused on deportation efforts.
The president’s approach combines aggressive enforcement with incentives for voluntary departure.
Dubbed “Project Homecoming,” the initiative offers illegal aliens $1,000 plus travel costs if they choose to leave voluntarily using a government app, rather than face arrest and forced deportation.
For those who refuse to depart voluntarily, President Trump has made clear the consequences will be severe.
The administration plans to enforce immigration laws using all available tools, including arrest, deportation, fines, wage garnishment, and property confiscation.
This enforcement strategy has already shown results. A recent operation in Florida conducted with local law enforcement resulted in over 1,100 arrests.
Similar partnerships between federal and local agencies will enable the nationwide enforcement that ICE alone could never accomplish.
President Trump has also expanded enforcement areas to include sanctuary cities, removing arbitrary restrictions that obstructed ICE operations during the Biden administration.
This approach ensures that immigration laws will be enforced everywhere in the country, not just near the border.
In response to the expansion, critics have raised questions about funding for the massive enforcement expansion.
However, DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin stated, “Every dollar spent and position filled at DHS should be focused on our core mission of securing our homeland and keeping the American people safe.”
A nationwide communications campaign will inform illegal aliens about Project Homecoming and the consequences of remaining in the country unlawfully.
The administration aims to make voluntary departure “as easy as possible” while making clear that those who stay face serious legal consequences.
With this historic expansion of immigration enforcement capabilities, President Trump is fulfilling his campaign promise to tackle illegal immigration head-on.
By combining increased enforcement with incentives for voluntary departure, the administration has created a fresh approach to restoring America’s immigration system and enforcing the rule of law.
