(DailyEmailNews.com) – In a bold move to protect election integrity, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is taking on the Biden-Harris administration.
Paxton has filed a lawsuit against the federal government for failing to verify the citizenship status of nearly half a million Texas voters.

Paxton’s lawsuit targets the Department of Homeland Security and Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for failing to provide crucial information needed to verify the citizenship of up to 450,000 registered voters in Texas.
This alarming oversight could compromise the accuracy and fairness of Texas elections, leaving the door wide open for non-citizens to cast illegal votes.
The Attorney General’s office argues that the federal government has repeatedly ignored requests for information on voters who did not use Texas-issued IDs to register.
Paxton’s lawsuit comes at a critical time as early voting is already underway in Texas and non-citizen voting looms large over the upcoming election.
Despite claims from some quarters that non-citizen voting is rare, the sheer number of unverified voters – 450,000 – is cause for serious concern.
“The Biden-Harris Administration has refused to comply with federal law, presenting yet another obstacle for Texas to overcome in ensuring free and fair elections in our state,” Paxton said.
“The law demands that they provide important information regarding the citizenship of nearly half a million potentially ineligible voters. Since the Biden-Harris Administration has chosen to ignore the law, I will see them in court,” he continued.
The lawsuit names not only the Department of Homeland Security and Secretary Mayorkas but also the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and its Director, Ur Jaddou.
While the Department of Homeland Security has suggested that states can use the USCIS SAVE program to verify voter citizenship status, Paxton argues that this system is inadequate.
The Attorney General’s office asserts that the federal government’s refusal to provide information obstructs Texas’ ability to ensure free and fair elections, leaving the state vulnerable to potential voter fraud.
As expected, Democrats responded to the legal challenge by accusing Republicans of voter intimidation and suppression.
