Ted Cruz Opponent EXPOSED!

(DailyEmailNews.com) – Despite claiming to champion a strong stance on border security, Democrat Texas Representative Colin Allred’s track record has exposed him for the liberal he is.

Currently running against Republican Senator Ted Cruz, Allred slammed immigration authorities back in 2018 when he was campaigning for Congress.

During the 2018 midterm elections, Allred criticized U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as “un-American,” “damaging,” and “harmful to public safety,” based on footage from various campaign events.

However, now that he is a Senate candidate, he is highlighting a commitment to “secure the border” and increase the number of agents in his advertisements.

“We’re seeing ICE used as a dragnet force grabbing anyone who looks brown in a community, finding out later whether or not they have documents,” Allred commented at a 2017 event. “This is completely un-American.”

In a 2018 congressional debate, he pointed out the negative impact of ICE’s actions on community policing.

He stated:

“The way [ICE is] being used right now is, in my opinion, so damaging to so many of our communities because it is leading to fewer reports of criminal activity in some Latino communities because people are afraid that every single report can turn into an immigration issue. It is harmful to our public safety.”

At another campaign event in April 2018, Allred referred to the U.S. border wall as “stupid” and “racist.”

“I wanna briefly talk about this racist wall. The symbol of this country cannot be a fence with barbed wire on top of it. It has to remain the Statue of Liberty,” he declared.

Despite his previous statements, a recent ad from August 1 shows Allred at the southern border, stating, “I’m Colin Allred, I’m working with both parties to finally secure the border, to add more border patrol agents, crack down on fentanyl, end human trafficking and get tough with the cartels.”

The number of border encounters since Joe Biden took office has surpassed 8 million, with significant impacts in cities like New York and Chicago, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Polls generally show Cruz leading Allred, with Real Clear Polling’s average giving Cruz a 7-point advantage as of August 26.

However, a University of Houston survey suggests a closer race, putting Allred just two points behind Cruz.
