Rudy Giuliani Gets Slammed by Judge

Rudy Giuliani in a suit.

(DailyEmailNews.com) – In a stunning twist, a judge has ordered former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani to surrender his assets, including his New York apartment, to two Georgia election workers.

This devastating blow to Giuliani comes as part of a defamation judgment, raising questions about the future of the once-celebrated “America’s Mayor” and his ongoing legal battles.

U.S. District Judge Lewis Liman has appointed Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss as receivers of Giuliani’s assets, granting them the power to seize and sell his property.

“In the absence of a turnover order to a receiver, Plaintiffs would bear the unacceptable risk of delay and Defendant’s insolvency,” Liman wrote in his ruling.

“The Court finds no good cause to impose additional limits on the time or manner of the liquidation or prosecution of any other item or interest on the list,” he added.

The order included Giuliani’s New York apartment, Mercedes-Benz, luxury watches and cash, leaving the former mayor with just seven days to comply.

This latest development comes after a jury found that Giuliani defamed Freeman and Moss by claiming they engaged in election fraud during the 2020 presidential election.

The jury ordered Giuliani to pay a staggering $146 million in damages, a sum that has now put his personal assets on the chopping block.

The judge’s ruling seems to disregard Giuliani’s attempts to protect his assets and livelihood.

Despite filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy to freeze the judgment, a judge dismissed the filing for lack of transparency.

This leaves Giuliani vulnerable to losing nearly everything he owns, including items of sentimental value such as watches gifted by foreign heads of state after 9/11.

Adding insult to injury, Freeman and Moss have been granted the authority to pursue Giuliani’s claim that GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump owes him legal fees.

This move not only pits Giuliani against his former client but also threatens to drag Trump into another lawsuit.

Giuliani is fighting to retain his Palm Beach condo by declaring it his homestead, a move that underscores the gravity of his situation.

A bench trial is scheduled for January 16, 2025, to determine the fate of this property.
