Pro-Cop Coffee Shop Wins Big!

Thumbs up in front of American flag background.

(DailyEmailNews.com) – In a resounding victory for free speech and support for law enforcement, Idaho coffee shop owner Sarah Jo Fendley has been awarded $4 million in a lawsuit against Boise State University.

Fendley’s case highlights the ongoing battle against liberal censorship on college campuses and defends the constitutional right to display pro-police symbols without fear of retaliation.

The jury delivered its verdict to conclude that Boise State University had violated Fendley’s First Amendment rights.

The lawsuit came after Fendley’s Big City Coffee shop on campus was forced to close down in October 2020, just six weeks after opening, because students complained about her support of the thin blue line flag.

A staunch law enforcement advocate herself, Fendley faced backlash from liberal students who took issue with her pro-police stance.

Instead of defending her right to free expression, university administrators caved to the woke mob and pressured Fendley to remove her business from campus.

The jury’s decision sends a clear message that suppressing conservative viewpoints and punishing individuals for supporting the brave men and women in blue will not be tolerated.

Fendley was awarded $3 million for business losses, emotional distress, personal humiliation and reputational damage caused by the university’s actions.

She was also awarded an additional $1 million in punitive damages, which former Boise State Vice President of Student Affairs Leslie Webb now has to pay.

This serves as a warning to other university administrators who might consider trampling on students’ and business owners’ constitutional rights to appease the radical left.

The case began when Fendley filed a $10 million tort claim against the university in 2021, asserting that she was forced out due to her pro-police views.

While the university’s attorney attempted to argue that Fendley terminated the contract herself, the jury saw through this deflection and recognized the clear violation of her First Amendment rights.

This verdict is a significant win for conservatives and patriots who have long been fighting against the suppression of pro-police and pro-America sentiments on college campuses.

It reinforces the idea that supporting law enforcement is not only allowed but protected under the Constitution.

The $4 million award to Fendley serves as a powerful barrier to other institutions that might consider similar actions against conservative voices.

It also provides much-needed compensation for the hardships she endured, including the closure of her downtown Boise location earlier this month.

This case proves that when conservatives fight back against liberal censorship and intimidation, they can win.

The Boise State case is not an isolated incident. Across the country, conservatives are fighting back against attempts to silence their voices and suppress their rights.

As conservatives celebrate this win for free speech and support for law enforcement, they are also reminded that the fight is far from over.

America must remain vigilant in protecting constitutional rights and supporting those who defend them, both in the courtroom and in communities.
