POLL: Trump in Command

(DailyEmailNews.com) – Confirming that Amеricans are looking for a return to greatness, a new poll reveals that former President Donald Trump currently holds a commanding lead against Joe Biden in a potential face-off.

According to a recent CNN survеy conducted by SSRS, Trump secures 49% support among registered voters, while Biden garners a mere 43%.

The share of support mirrors the results from two earlier CNN polls, one from January and another from last fall, where Trump also led with 49% compared to Biden’s previous 45%.

Despitе Trump’s lead, both he and Biden are viewed unfavorably by a significant portion of the electorate.

58% of voters have an unfavorable opinion of Bidеn while 55% view Trump in the same light.

Furthermore, 17% of the surveyed voters expressed unfavorable views toward both presidential figures.

The survey further reveals concerning insights for Biden’s campaign team: 55% of those polled view Trump’s presidency as successful compared to 39% who say the same of Biden’s tenure.

This means a staggering 61% of respondents see Biden’s presidency as a failure, which shows an increase from the previous 57%.

In terms of party unity behind their respective candidates’ tenures, Republicans show more cohesion, as 92% of them said Trump’s time in office was successful against 73% of Democrats who stated the same about Biden.

Biden’s numbers are even worse when seen individually, as a wide array of issues, such as health care (45%), student loan debt (44%), the economy (34%), inflation (29%) and the Israel-Hamas conflict (28%), gathered consistent negative figures.

Trump commented on the survey results on his Truth Social platform: “GOOD POLL NUMBERS, FROM CNN OF ALL PLACES, AGAINST THE WORST PRESIDENT IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES (BY FAR!),” he stated.

The CNN poll surveyed 1,212 individuals including 967 registered voters in mid-April and has a margin of error of 3.4 percentage points.

Other national polls, such as The Hill/Decision Desk’s polling average, show a tighter race between Biden and Trump, with Trump slightly ahead at 45.3% to Biden’s 44.7%.
