(DailyEmailNews.com) – While liberal Governor Gavin Newsom’s ineffective leadership leaves residents vulnerable, a raging wildfire in Ventura County is destroying homes and forcing mass evacuations.

Fueled by high winds and dry conditions, the so-called Mountain Fire has already consumed over 14,000 acres northwest of Los Angeles.

The fire, which remains 0% contained, continues to spread unchecked as more than 10,000 residents have been forced to flee their homes.

“Bushes are burning, grass is burning, hedgerows are burning, agricultural fields are burning, and structures are burning. This fire is moving dangerously fast,” said Ventura County Fire Chief Dustin Gardner.

While hardworking firefighters risk their lives to battle the inferno, Newsom’s administration has failed to implement effective wildfire prevention strategies.

Instead of focusing on proper forest management and creating firebreaks, California’s leadership has been criticized for wasting taxpayer dollars on pet projects and virtue signaling.

California has been slammed for wasting resources on sanctuary cities and handouts for illegals instead of investing in robust infrastructure and fire prevention.

The Mountain Fire has already destroyed dozens of homes and threatens thousands more.

Over 30,000 customers are without power, leaving vulnerable residents in the dark during this crisis.

Schools have been forced to close, disrupting education and putting additional strain on families.

“This is as intense as it gets. The hair on the back of the firefighters’ neck I’m sure was standing up,” said Ventura County Fire Captain Trevor Johnson.

The Mountain Fire is burning in an area with a history of destructive blazes, including the 2018 Woolsey Fire and the 2017 Thomas Fire.

Despite these recurring tragedies, California’s leadership has failed to learn from past mistakes and carry out meaningful changes to protect its citizens.

As the fire continues to rage, California’s current approach to wildfire management has been increasingly perceived as a failure.
