(DailyEmailNews.com) – Steve Bannon has shocked the political establishment by declaring that President Donald Trump is planning to run for a historic third term in 2028.

Watch the video down below.

Bannon, the president’s former chief strategist, boldly stated, “We’re working on it” during a recent interview with Chris Cuomo.

The Republican suggested that constitutional limits on presidential terms would not stop President Trump’s return to power.

During his appearance on Cuomo’s show, Bannon dismissed any personal presidential ambitions for 2028.

Despite receiving 12% support in a straw poll at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

Instead, he doubled down on his unwavering loyalty to President Trump, declaring he has “already endorsed” him and has no interest in seeking the office himself.

The bombshell claim came when Cuomo pressed Bannon about his future political plans.

Rather than entertain the idea of his own candidacy, Bannon suggested something far more revolutionary—that the president himself run again in 2028 despite having already served two terms.

When challenged about the constitutional barriers to such a move, Bannon cryptically implied there might be a strategy to bypass the 22nd Amendment, which states that “no person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.”

Bannon’s comments align with efforts already underway within some Republican circles.

U.S. Representative Andy Ogles has proposed amending the Constitution to allow presidents to serve a third term.

However, such an amendment faces nearly insurmountable hurdles as it requires a two-thirds majority in both houses of Congress and ratification by 38 states.

Some Trump supporters have floated the theory that because Trump’s terms were not consecutive, he might have a unique case for eligibility.

Constitutional experts universally reject this interpretation, maintaining that the 22nd Amendment makes no distinction between consecutive and non-consecutive terms.

For Americans frustrated with the previous liberal leadership, the idea of extending the Trump administration for another four years represents a major landmark.

The mainstream media has painted Bannon’s remarks as dangerous and anti-democratic, but many MAGA supporters see it differently.

President Trump himself has not publicly advocated for repealing the 22nd Amendment.

However, his popularity among his base remains undiminished, with many supporters hoping to find any constitutional pathway to keep their champion in the White House beyond the traditional two-term limit.
