NEW: Trump Attacked

(DailyEmailNews.com) – In a major attack against GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, his campaign disclosed that a foreign entity hostile to the U.S. hacked its internal communications.

This assertion was supported by a Friday Microsoft intelligence report indicating that an Iranian military-linked hacker targeted a senior official of a presidential campaign with a phishing email in June.

The Trump team suspects this hacker began leaking stolen data to Politico by late July.

While sharing the information with Politico, an individual using the name “Robert” and an AOL email address warned, “I suggest you don’t be curious about where I got them from.”

“Robert” added, “Any answer to this question will compromise me and also legally restricts you from publishing them.”

Politico received not only internal communications from the Trump campaign but also a substantial document detailing the research involved in vetting Republican vice-presidential nominee J.D. Vance.

Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung explained, “These documents were obtained illegally from foreign sources hostile to the United States, intended to interfere with the 2024 election and sow chaos throughout our Democratic process.”

“The Iranians know that President Trump will stop their reign of terror just like he did in his first four years in the White House,” he added.

Cheung emphasized that Microsoft reported that the timing of the hack “coincides with the close timing of President Trump’s selection of a vice presidential nominee.”

Cheung warned, “Any media or news outlet reprinting documents or internal communications are doing the bidding of America’s enemies and doing exactly what they want.”

Earlier in the year, it was reported that U.S. intelligence uncovered a plot by Iran to assassinate Trump.

This prompted the Secret Service to increase security measures for the former president.

The agency has been under fire due to a security lapse that allowed a gunman to position himself near Trump at a recent rally.

Although the assailant failed to assassinate Trump as he intended, he killed a bystander and injured others.

Politico’s future actions regarding the leaked information remain uncertain, as they have not yet discussed the allegations.
