(DailyEmailNews.com) – Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court dealt a crushing blow to liberal election officials, ruling that undated mail-in ballots must not be counted in the ongoing U.S. Senate race recount.
This landmark decision sends a clear message about the integrity of the electoral process: everyone must play by the rules, even Democrats.
In a 4-3 vote, the court exercised its King’s Bench authority to exclude misdated and undated ballots.
By doing so, the court directly challenged the actions of Democrat strongholds like Philadelphia, Montgomery and Bucks counties.
These jurisdictions had stubbornly counted such ballots in defiance of previous court rulings, showcasing a disturbing pattern of disregard for election laws when they do not align with their agenda.
Justice David Wecht did not mince words in his concurring opinion, stating, “It is critical to the rule of law that individual counties and municipalities and their elected and appointed officials, like any other parties, obey orders of this Court.”
The ruling comes at a crucial time as Pennsylvania’s Senate race heads to an automatic recount. Republican David McCormick is currently leading incumbent Senator Bob Casey.
Republican National Committee chair Michael Whatley praised the ruling, declaring, “No more excuses. Election officials in Bucks, Montgomery, Philadelphia, and other counties have absolutely no choice but to reject illegal ballots. We will hold them to it.”
This ruling strikes a blow against the left’s persistent attempts to loosen voting rules under the guise of “voter access.”
Voting rights groups and Democrats have long argued that the dating requirement is meaningless and unconstitutional, which critics argue could open the floodgates for potential voter fraud.
Justice Kevin Brobson, joined by two other Justices, delivered a powerful message to overreaching local officials: “I write separately to disabuse local elections officials of the notion that they have the authority to ignore Election Code provisions that they believe are unconstitutional.”
Supporters of the decision hailed the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s ruling as a victory for every American who believes in fair and secure elections, free from fraud and manipulation.
As the recount continues, with results expected by November 27, this ruling ensures that only valid, legally cast ballots will determine the outcome.
