Native American Tribe Lifts Ban on Kristi Noem!

(DailyEmailNews.com) – In a stunning turn of events, a South Dakota Native American tribe has lifted its ban on Governor Kristi Noem in light of her potential confirmation as Homeland Security secretary.

This decision marks a significant shift in Noem’s relationship with tribal leaders.

It showcases her ability to bridge divides and foster unity in the face of past controversies.

The Flandreau Santee Sioux tribe is one of nine tribes in South Dakota that had previously banned Noem from their territories.

It has decided to support her nomination by President Donald Trump for the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security position.

The tribe’s press release stated, “The Governor issued an apology to us for the misunderstanding, which was exacerbated by misinformation.”

It further emphasized, “Since our first meeting, the Governor has shown us that she is committed to protecting the people of South Dakota including the citizens of the nine Tribal Nations, who share mutual borders with the state.”

The initial ban was imposed after Noem made comments suggesting that tribal leaders were catering to drug cartels.

However, in a display of true leadership, Noem took the initiative to mend fences and seek advice on improving communication with tribal communities.

This proactive approach has not only led to the ban lift but has also strengthened her position as a unifying figure capable of addressing complex cross-cultural issues.

Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe President Tony Reider wrote:

“I commend you on your nomination by President Elect Donald Trump to the position of Secretary of U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and hereby support your nomination. I wish you the best of luck during the Senate confirmation hearing on January 17, 2025, and believe that your dedication to the safety and security of the United States will benefit us all.”

As Noem prepares for her confirmation hearing, she has received widespread support from law enforcement and first responder organizations.

At least eight police groups or unions, including a Border Patrol agents’ union, have endorsed her nomination.

The International Association of Fire Fighters has also thrown its support behind Noem, citing her deep understanding of emergency management.

In light of recent events, Republican Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry has called for swift confirmation of Noem.

The governor emphasized the urgent need for strong leadership in the face of ongoing security threats.

Landry’s endorsement comes in the wake of a terrorist attack in New Orleans, highlighting the critical importance of having a capable and decisive leader at the helm of Homeland Security.
