(DailyEmailNews.com) – A federal judge has delivered a major twist in the controversial case of Alex Jones’ Infowars after blocking the site’s sale to satirical news outlet The Onion.

Infowars’ “American Journal” host Harrison H. Smith praised the ruling with a message on X.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Christopher Lopez ruled against the proposed sale, citing significant flaws in the auction process.

The judge’s decision allows Jones to maintain operations at his Austin, Texas headquarters, ensuring that Infowars can continue delivering uncensored news and commentary to millions of Americans.

The attempted sale of Infowars was part of ongoing bankruptcy proceedings stemming from a series of defamation lawsuits related to Jones’ coverage of the Sandy Hook tragedy.

While the mainstream media has relentlessly attacked Jones, many conservatives view these lawsuits as an assault on First Amendment rights and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Judge Lopez criticized the auction process, stating, “This should have been opened back up, and it should have been opened back up for everybody.”

The Onion, known for its left-leaning satire, came up as the winning bidder with an offer of $1.75 million.

However, First United American Companies, a company associated with Jones, had actually bid $3.5 million – nearly double The Onion’s offer.

“We can celebrate the judge doing the right thing with the most ridiculous, fraudulent auction known in human history,” Jones stated.

Jones, who did not attend the proceedings, praised the judge’s decision during a broadcast from his Austin studio.

He has consistently maintained that the lawsuits against him are an attack on free speech and has vowed to appeal the $1.5 billion in judgments, citing his First Amendment rights.

Had The Onion’s purchase been approved, it planned to relaunch Infowars as a parody site, effectively erasing its impact and mocking its millions of supporters.
