(DailyEmailNews.com) – In a stunning display of judicial overreach, a judge has denied President-elect Donald Trump’s request to delay sentencing in the politically motivated New York v. Trump case.
Made just days before Trump’s inauguration, this shocking decision exposes the depths of the deep state’s relentless witch hunt against America’s chosen leader.
Judge Juan Merchan’s ruling set Trump’s sentencing for January 10, a mere ten days before he is set to take office as the 47th President of the United States.
As the sentencing date looms, Trump’s attorneys filed an emergency petition to the Supreme Court asking for a last-minute halt to the proceedings.
Trump, who was found guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business records related to a $130,000 payment to Stormy Daniels, has consistently maintained his innocence.
His legal team had filed a motion to delay the sentencing, arguing that it was unlawful and politically motivated.
The president-elect did not mince words when addressing this latest attack on his character.
Taking to Truth Social, Trump exposed the rigged nature of the legal system working against him:
“Virtually every legal scholar and pundit says THERE IS NO (ZERO!) CASE AGAINST ME. The Judge fabricated the facts, and the law, no different than the other New York Judicial and Prosecutorial Witch Hunts. That’s why businesses are fleeing New York, taking with them millions of jobs, and BILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN TAXES. The legal system is broken, and businesses can’t take a chance in getting caught up in this quicksand. IT’S ALL RIGGED, in this case against a political opponent, ME!!!”
Trump spokesman Steven Cheung called out the prosecution for being an unlawful and politically motivated witch hunt.
“Today, President Trump’s legal team moved to stop the unlawful sentencing in the Manhattan D.A.’s Witch Hunt,” Cheung stated.
“The Supreme Court’s historic decision on Immunity, the state constitution of New York, and other established legal precedent mandate that this meritless hoax be immediately dismissed,” he added.
It is worth noting that while this sham case persists, other politically motivated attacks on Trump have crumbled.
Special counsel Jack Smith dismissed federal cases against Trump, and a Georgia racketeering case is stalled due to a conflict of interest.
These developments only serve to highlight the baseless nature of the charges Trump faces in New York.
