(DailyEmailNews.com) – The days of the imposed woke agenda are numbered as Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth enforces a sweeping military transgender ban.

Specifically, the defense secretary implemented President Donald Trump’s executive order, which halts transgender recruitment and medical procedures in the armed forces.

This bold action signals a return to focusing on combat effectiveness rather than social experimentation, addressing concerns long-held by conservative Americans about the military’s priorities.

“Consistent with the military mission and longstanding DoD policy, expressing a false ‘gender identity’ divergent from an individual’s sex cannot satisfy the rigorous standards necessary for military service,” the order reads.

Hegseth’s memorandum takes immediate effect after being filed with the U.S. District Court in Washington.

It pauses new accessions for individuals with a history of gender dysphoria and stops all “unscheduled, scheduled, or planned medical procedures” associated with gender transitions for service members.

This decisive step aligns with President Trump’s vision to establish high standards of readiness, lethality, and integrity within the military.

The order is part of a broader strategy to reverse what many conservatives view as woke social policies that have infiltrated the Pentagon in recent years.

President Trump’s executive order, while not outright banning transgender troops, requires updates to medical standards and restricts the use of pronouns that do not reflect an individual’s biological sex.

Importantly, the new policy addresses concerns about military facilities. It prohibits men and women from using accommodations designated for the opposite sex to ensure privacy and comfort for all service members.

The Pentagon now has 30 days to determine a policy for service members based on readiness, ensuring that the military focuses on its primary mission of defending the nation.

This shift in priorities is a welcome change for those who believe the armed forces should prioritize combat effectiveness over social agendas.

While leftist groups are predictably challenging the order in federal court, it is worth noting that public support for transgender individuals serving in the military has decreased.

A Gallup poll indicated that 58% of Americans support allowing openly transgender individuals to serve, down from 71% in 2019, suggesting a growing recognition of the complexities involved in this issue.

President Trump’s action effectively reverses one of Joe Biden’s first moves in office, which had rescinded Trump’s 2017 policy requiring service based on biological sex at birth.

Many consider the restoration of traditional military standards a necessary step to maintaining the strength and cohesion of the armed forces.

As the legal challenges unfold, a court hearing is scheduled for February 18 in the D.C. district court.
