Hall of Fame Superstar Fighting for His Life

(DailyEmailNews.com) – Dropping a bombshell on his fans and sports еnthusiasts, baseball legend Wade Boggs has revealed on social media that he is fighting prostate cancer.

The 66-year-old Hall of Fame superstar from Tampa recently broke the news by sharing a picture of a prostate cancer patient guide.

He also took the opportunity to send a message expressing his determination to beat the illness.

On his X account, Boggs posted, “I’ve never been a goal oriented person but with the strength and support of my family and my faith in God I’m going to ring that damn bell 💪🏻🙏 #positiveattitude.”

The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum was quick to respond with support, posting on X, “Sending our well wishes to @ChickenMan3010 as he battles prostate cancer. We’re with you every step of the way, Wade!”

Boggs is a renowned figure in baseball who has a remarkable record, including five American League batting titles and 12 All-Star appearances over his 18-season career.

He played most of his career with the Boston Red Sox, then with the New York Yankees, where he clinched a World Series title in 1996, and concluded his professional days with the Tampa Bay Rays.

His outstanding contributions to the sport saw him getting inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2005.

Earlier this year, the Rays also honored him with an induction into their own Hall of Fame, as reported by Gazette Xtra.

Although Boggs did not attend this year’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony, fellow Hall of Famer Fred McGriff mentioned that Boggs has been keeping busy, including traveling with him to a recent event.
