(DailyEmailNews.com) – Adding a new entry to California’s horrifying crime record, former football superstar Reggie Bush reportedly prevented a home invasion attempt at his mansion in the Los Angeles area.
According to details revealed by sources, the former USC Trojans running back and Heisman Trophy winner was at home during the incident.
As per reports, Bush reacted quickly by shouting as soon as he sensed the intrusion, which apparently caused the intruders to flee.
The incident reportedly occurred around midnight, when at least one individual broke a window of Bush’s home in Encino.
Following the disturbance, the police arrived to find broken glass near the mansion’s rear entrance, though no injuries were reported at the time the police were called.
The details about whether it was a single intruder or multiple individuals and whether they managed to steal anything remain unclear.
Bush bought the home in 2019 for $5.65 million and is described as a fortified estate.
It came with a complete alarm system and surveillance cameras that were installed before his purchase.
The property is also surrounded by walls and gates, adding a layer of security.
The investigation into the attempted home invasion is still ongoing.
This incident is part of a larger trend of burglaries and break-ins that have been targеting the Los Angeles area recently.
