Fetterman Does WHAT While Driving?

(DailyEmailNews.com) – After causing a car crash that could havе been fatal, Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman has developed a reputation for unsafe driving habits, which is causing concern among his staff members.

According to a report, some staffers are hesitant to ride with him because he tends to engage in risky behaviors such as speeding and using his phone to Facetime and text while driving.

Before a recent incident where Fetterman rear-ended a 62-year-old woman’s car—an accident that required hospital visits for him, his wife Gisele and the other driver—Fetterman was cited for excessive speeding on at least two other occasions.

Since Fetterman is keen on using his phone while driving, his staff started “an informal practice” to avoid getting in the car with him if he is behind the wheel. “It’s not safe,” a source familiar with Fetterman’s driving habits said.

Staff members are even cautious about sending him messages while he is driving for fear he might try to reply.

The accident, which occurred on I-70 in Maryland, was investigated by state police who determined Fetterman was “at fault.”

While it was “unknown” if Fetterman was distracted at the time of the crash, it was confirmed that the other driver was not distracted.

Witnesses reported that Fetterman’s Chevrolet Traverse was moving “at a high rate of speed, well over the posted speed limit” of 70 mph just before the collision.

The senator had previously pleaded guilty in March for driving 34 mph over the speed limit in Westmoreland County, near Pittsburgh—an offensе serious enough to require attending Driver Improvement School.

In addition, Fetterman received a speeding ticket in 2016 for driving 24 mph over the limit in Warren County, in northwestern Pеnnsylvania.

The crash resulted in “disabling damage” to both involved vehicles, which werе towed from the scene. Photos revealed significant front-end damage to Fetterman’s SUV.

While the senator’s office did not respond to requests for comment, the senator’s spokesperson dismissed the claims about his driving as “gossip and inaccurate.”

However, Fetterman acknowledged the incident, saying, “This was an unfortunate accident on Sunday and I’m relieved and grateful that there were no serious injuries.”
