FBI Accused of Illegal Retaliation

(DailyEmailNews.com) – In a bombshell revelation disclosing the weaponization of federal agencies against conservatives, the FBI has been accused of illegally retaliating against one of its employees for raising concerns over statements regarding the events of January 6.

Empower Oversight, a whistleblower advocacy group, explained that the FBI unjustly suspended Marcus Allen without pay. It also stated that the FBI misused the security clearance process as punishment for his protected whistleblower disclosures concerning FBI Director Christopher Wray’s January 6 testimony.

Empower Oversight’s President, Tristan Leavitt, reached out to the Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz, highlighting that the FBI’s actions against Allen were illegal. This is especially alarming since it happened before and during the determination of whether to revoke Allen’s security clearance.

Leavitt explained:

“In other words, the decision to suspend Mr. Allen indefinitely from duty without pay and delay of the security clearance process, while also preventing him from taking another job and accepting charitable contributions, constructively terminated Mr. Allen from FBI employment for all practical purposes without ever needing to reach a final determination on his security clearance.”

Due to these actions, Allen, a Marine Corps veteran with commendable service in Iraq, and his family have faced significant financial struggles. He has been left unable to find employment elsewhere or accept charitable donations.

The situation has escalated over time, with Empower Oversight initially contacting Horowitz in April 2023 to request an investigation into the suspension of Allen’s security clearance.

The group affirms that from May to September 2023, the FBI intentionally withheld documentation Allen needed to contest the decision to revoke his clearance. The group also stated that these actions, separate from the security clearance issue, amount to illegal retaliation against a whistleblower.

Allen’s security clearance was revoked in May 2023. Although he has appealed the decision, it remains unresolved. This revocation came after the FBI initially recommended renewing Allen’s clearance in September 2021.

However, the FBI reversed its decision following Allen’s whistleblower disclosure that challenged Wray’s testimony to Congress about whether law enforcement was aware of extremist group plans before the Capitol riot.
