Biden Melting Down

( – Following Joe Biden’s increasing gaffes, which have caused millions to question his mental acuity and raised mounting concerns, Biden is having a meltdown and becoming anxious about his reelection odds against GOP frontrunner former President Donald Trump.

A series of surveys presented a challenging narrative that illustrated Biden’s struggle to surpass the former president’s appeal.

Biden’s frustration surfaced in strategy sessions with allies, leading him to doubt his own instincts as his accomplishments failed to stimulate additional support. According to NBC News, both the White House and Democratic insiders saw Biden’s issue as communication.

Biden believed his tenure’s achievements ought to secure his reelection and assumed the electorate was fully informed. However, the debate over who bore the responsibility for this communication shortfall varies.

NBC reported that some attributed it to local Democratic leaders not adequately promoting Biden’s achievements, while others believe the White House itself is at fault.

Amidst Biden’s popularity, certain Democrats expressed growing impatience especially considering his age and the scrutiny over his cognitive sharpness.

“Biden stood up in front of the whole world and said, ‘I’m ready. I’m the guy who can take down Donald Trump,’” Representative Adam Smith (D-WA) told NBC.

He continued, “So, he godd*** well better do it. We don’t have time for him to be worried about whether or not people are saying things right or the poll numbers are where they should be. I want focused energy and not defensive anger.”

Despite the administration’s efforts to divert attention from scrutinizing Biden’s achievements YouGov poll from February 2024 revealed that Biden trails Trump in trustworthiness on matters like immigration, the economy and crime.

Biden’s approval ratings are notably low. For instance, his average approval rate stands at 38.6 %, lower than that of any modern American president at a similar juncture who then faced electoral defeat. According to FiveThirtyEight, his disapproval rating averages 55.4%.

In a revealing New York Times/Siena poll, a substantial number of Americans perceived Trump’s policies as more beneficial than Biden’s. 40 % of respondents felt Trump’s policies had “helped you personally,” compared to just 18 % for Biden.
