American National Kidnapped – Shot Before Abduction!

Red emergency light flashing on a red background.

(DailyEmailNews.com) – Highlighting the dangers U.S. citizens face abroad, an American vlogger has been kidnapped in the Philippines.

As the FBI joins the search, concerned citizens are calling for stronger measures to protect Americans overseas.

Elliot Onil Eastman, a 26-year-old American from Vermont, was kidnapped by armed gunmen in Zamboanga del Norte, southern Philippines.

The kidnappers were dressed in black and sported M16 rifles. They falsely identified themselves as police officers before shooting Eastman in the leg and taking him away on a speedboat.

FBI agents have arrived in the Philippines to investigate the kidnapping, working alongside local authorities in a search for the young American.

The southern Philippines has long been a hotbed of terrorist activity and lawlessness, with groups like Abu Sayyaf known for kidnappings and violence against foreigners.

Eastman had previously converted to Islam and married a local woman. He was living in a poor area of Sibuco with his wife.

His decision to live in such a dangerous location has raised eyebrows, especially given that he had expressed security concerns in a YouTube video titled “Living in the Philippines most dangerous area as an American.”

This raised the question of why an American citizen put himself in such a precarious situation.

The former mayor of Sibuco suggested that Eastman was targeted because he was thought to be a wealthy foreigner.

This perception has been fueled by decades of misguided foreign aid policies that have failed to address systemic poverty and corruption.

This lack of oversight has put Americans at risk in countries that benefit from U.S. taxpayer dollars.

As the search continues, no ransom demands have been made so far. The incident has prompted the U.S. embassy to warn American citizens about traveling to Mindanao.

Ultimately, this kidnapping serves as a wake-up call for the need to reassess U.S. foreign policy and aid distribution.

It is time to demand accountability from countries receiving American assistance and to prioritize the safety of U.S. citizens abroad.
