70 Percent of Palestinians Support What?!

(DailyEmailNews.com) – Underscoring how deeply terrorism has grown its roots in a population that has known no liberty at all, a recent poll unveiled that an alarmingly high number of Palestinians support the terrorist group Hamas.

A survey by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research revealed that a significant majority of 71% of Palestinians across the Gaza Strip and the West Bank endorse Hamas’s decision to launch a terror attack on Israel on October 7.

This sentiment shows a slight shift, with West Bank’s approval decreasing from 82% and Gaza’s increasing from 57% to 71% since December.

When respondents were asked whether “the war on Gaza since October 7 has revived international attention to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict that it could lead to increased recognition of Palestinian statehood,” the poll highlighted that three-quarters of those surveyed said yes.

A notable 91% of participants shot down the idea that Hamas has committed war crimes, with 93% denying allegations of rape and civilian massacres attributed to Hamas on October 7.

Looking ahead, the majority of Palestinians in both territories express a preference for Hamas governing Gaza after the war.

Specifically 64% in the West Bank and 52% in Gaza favor Hamas’s leadership, as opposed to the Palestinian Authority, with or without current President Mahmoud Abbas.

Regarding whether Palestinian aspirations have been fulfilled, such as “ending the occupation and building an independent state,” armed resistance was viewed as the most effective method by 39% in Gaza and 46% in the West Bank.

Despite this, a two-state solution gathered limited support, with only 38% of respondents in favor of negotiations to achieve this objective.
